1. Remove Debris
Occasionally debris will land on your astro turf from nearby overhanging trees or general use. Removing debris regularly with a brush, leaf blower or by hand is highly recommended. Organic matter should not be allowed to build up, as this can cause weeds to grow which can affect the drainage.
2. Remove Stains

Stains which require mineral spirits and grease spot removers:
Grease, cooking oil, suntan lotion, ink, nail polish, shoe polish
After using any products make sure you rinse the turf thoroughly with warm water. This will help get rid of the cleaners chemical residue.
3. Use a Weed Killer Annually
Once a year using a weed killer or special herbicide treatment on your fake grass will help prevent weeds or moss from inhabiting your lawn. Any vegetation can be easily pulled out or swept off the artificial turf.
4. Dust and Pollen Build Up
Dust and pollen usually wash away on your turf from the rain, but if you notice a build-up simply hose down the area with water to remove these particles. It is especially important to remove these if those in your household especially kids have asthma.
5. Animal Waste
Your pets will generally spend more time in your backyard than you will, so they will definitely be using your fake turf as their toilet. Urine and animal droppings can be easily removed with warm water and detergent.
