Case Study: Pukete Playground

Project Overview

Pukete Playground demonstrates how SYNLawn synthetic grass can transform playground surfacing from a passive safety feature into an active part of the play experience.

Installed using Australian-made SYNLawn CoolPlay over a Schmitz ProPlay shock pad system, the project combines the natural appearance and durability of synthetic grass with colourful, interactive design elements that encourage movement, exploration and imaginative play. Running tracks, balance pathways and hopscotch-inspired graphics are seamlessly integrated into the surface, creating opportunities for activity throughout the playground.

Every graphic element was individually measured and hand-cut on site to achieve a precise, high-quality finish. Beneath the surface, the impact-absorbing shock pad system enhances safety while supporting effective drainage and long-term performance in a busy community environment.

Featuring a non-directional yarn construction and exclusive COOLplus™ technology, SYNLawn CoolPlay delivers a comfortable, durable and visually appealing play surface designed for year-round use.
