ABRASION RESISTANCE
Nylon has a strength advantage in that it’s molecularly structured to withstand stress and abrasion in ways that other fibers don’t. Nylon offers extreme UV stability for high performance regions.
MELT-SAFE RESISTANCE
220º melt point surpasses fire safety standards, and useful in combating melt from window reflectivity. Low-E windows can magnify the suns rays on surfaces which is why nylon is often used. Additionally, SYNLawn provides warranty for such conditions.
FIRE SPREAD RESISTANCE
Nylon has twice the melt point as polyethelyne making it ideal for passing various fire tests. There are three fire tests with ascending degrees of difficulty – nylon easily meets all three. The E-108 is typically used to pass rooftop fire code for flame spread.
