TGL presented by SoFi is a revolutionary, tech-driven golf league created by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports. Designed for prime-time viewing, TGL combines world-class PGA TOUR talent, fast-paced 3-on-3 team matches, and cutting-edge technology to deliver an immersive fan experience like never before.
Each season features six professional teams competing in head-to-head matches at the custom-built SoFi Center, located on the Palm Beach State College campus in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. With advanced simulators, live short-game play, and real-time data, TGL transforms golf into a high-energy, arena-style sport.
SYNLawn Named Official Synthetic Surface Partner of TGL
As the inaugural Official Synthetic Surface Partner of TGL presented by SoFi, SYNLawn installed more than 2,800 square meters of advanced artificial golf turf at the custom-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Selected after years of testing, SYNLawn delivered a short-game performance surface that replicates professional tour conditions for the world’s best players.
Tech-Infused Short-Game Complex
At the heart of the venue is the GreenZone putting complex, where SYNLawn’s artificial turf is integrated with cutting-edge technology to create a dynamic, authentic golf experience. The green is mounted on a 37-meter rotating turntable, shifting to new angles for each hole. Beneath the surface, nearly 600 hydraulic actuators reshape the turf in real time – morphing slopes, undulations, and contours to simulate real-world course conditions to create 30 unique hole configurations.
Blending Virtual and Real Golf
Players hit full shots into a massive virtual screen, then transition to SYNLawn’s adaptable short-game surface to finish each hole. Real sand bunkers and natural grass hitting boxes complement SYNLawn’s turf, delivering a hybrid competition environment that fuses innovation with realism.
At the SoFi Center, SYNLawn’s installation featured a selection of products including Precision Putt™ and TrueStop™ underlayment, raising the standard for synthetic golf surfacing. These technologies provide tour-level speed, roll, and consistency, delivering authentic performance through innovative design and expert installation.
